#OyshoYoga

#OyshoYoga I have never seen such passion for branding. Direct reach to clientele and ensuring their wellbeing. What I witnessed last Saturday at Arjaan by Rotana was the most amazing brand association done by Oysho team in Jordan. The set up, the vibe, the music, the pool, that fresh mint color. Feminine touches everywhere. It was great to see this vast community of yogis in Jordan. Strong women who are focused, balanced and if not already at the edge of their comfort, they're getting there. Mothers, grandmothers, school girls, boxers, cyclers and more athletes were all here to search for mindfulness. Living the moment. Connecting with oneself. Doing a wheel (Urdva Dhanurasana) with Farah Qudsi On stage was the amazing Farah Qudsi, Founder of Namaste Zone Yoga and Pilates Studio in Amman. My prominent trainer and yoga master. After meeting Farah a few years back and working out with her as a personal trainer then practicing yoga with her as a yoga instr...

We Are What We Eat

Image
Through studying nutrition and energy flows, food affects not only our physical appearance but also contributes to our emotional and spiritual being. Our moods and feelings change depending on the things we eat. I have recently tried Yanboot. A family business providing organic produce in hyper markets and some farmer's markets when available. They nourish the body, purify the mind and heal the imbalances in the body by generating good health. The less chemicals these foods have the better the body's ability to generate good health, energy, vitality, vigor, mental alertness, peace and strength. Try to look for foods rich in vitamins and minerals, vegetables,...

Being A Cat Person

Image
My love for cats started when I was really young. There's something that attracts me to their independence. Their Zen. Their energy and ability to sooth. I recently learnt from studying YIN yoga that stillness and relaxation are the key essence to meditation. Something my cat seems to master. He can stay still, fully relaxed for hours, just like a monk, looking into the unseen, lightly closing eyes to sleep. My next read is going to be The Dalai Lama's Cat by David Michie. A light fiction about being the feline of one of the most influential people in the world.

The Search Begins

As we progress in life, we find new meanings for the same words we used to know, the same actions we used to do and the people we once shared a bed with or not. We develop a sense for what matters, what's important and what's not. This is my journey to discovering more meanings to the words I know, for the actions I do and for the person I am. It's definitely not a philosophical approach, but a rather enlightening point of view to things we aren't aware of. Things we take for granted and opportunities we can seize every single day.
